Just not true, Bruce. I have owned both ICE, EVs and hybrids, and it's just not true. Sorry.

Actually, if you can't charge at home, the "full ownership cost"/mile for an EV (over 5 years at 15,000 miles/year) will be higher for an EV than for an ICE well past 2050.
What is the cost of the pollution from buring gas?
Unfortunately our society is willing to pass those cost on to future generations. And in my case, I could get net-zero on an ICE by sending $50/month to third world for climate mitigation - much less than the $100-300/month extra that an EV would cost me.
