Reality check -- the claim is that a 1.8% blockage would solve Climate Change (is this true??). That would have to be about 250mi across at 100% blockage, much larger if not blocking 100% of the Sun's light. The extremely rough math for this (and could be totally wrong!): Lagrange L1 1.5M miles from Earth, Sun 94M from Earth, Sun 109 x Earth diameter, Earth diameter 8Kmi -> 1.5M / 94M 109 8K * 0.018 = 250mi diameter @ 100% blockage. ... far larger at less than 100% blockage.
Perhaps equally one could setup a bunch of mirrors on Earth reflecting light/energy back to space! If the claim is true that only 1.8% block is needed to reverse Climate Change, then we will only need a far smaller % blockage/reflection to solve the last part of #RealClimateAction AFTER we #EndFossil -- this approach can NEVER be an excuse to continue using Fossil Energy which not only damages the Climate but the Economy as se wee Right Now (!) Stealing Wealth From Everywhere to support only a few. #EndFossil NOW!
