Great article. We have an opportunity and responsibility to help nurture and shape our youth as parents and community. Too many times parents are quick to give kids devices as a means of distraction. In return kids are creating new habits from what they watch. Overseeing their day to day interactions with technology should be no different than choosing a better school or helping them with homework. It is important for parents to interact with their kids and ask difficult questions of how what they are watching makes them feel and examine what is real. Nothing replaces the benefits of physical interaction and engagement. Being present and truly understanding your self worth as a child, teen, or adult has an everlasting impact on our society. It is unfortunate to see depression levels rise even when technology connects us more than ever.
