Climate Crisis Prediction: The Application of AI/ML to Online Social Networks

I found another great book[1]. I discovered this after the author for [2] told me about Natural Language Processing (NLP) via email. I am learning and need a good overview, and that is where [1] comes in.

I had a medical problem. My medication caused 3 times the normal prolactin levels. So, I have been excessively fatigued. I am also on a medication for schizophrenic negative symptoms like poverty of motivation, poverty of enjoyment, etc. I have more energy in the afternoons for reading. I also enjoy the topics, and I am motivated. [1] is 282 pages and [2] is 119 pages. I hope to read 20 pages of [1] on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; I hope to read 10 pages of [2] on Tuesday and Thursday. This will get me ready for reading jet boat material by November. I find [1,2] more interesting. :)

I doubt I will go much beyond [1] and [2]. I am not much of a programmer. I am bored by it. With that said, it seems Python is popular in this area, and I do like Python better than C++. I get results faster. I have done some basic programming with Python. It is a friendly language. With that said, I will soon be busy with jet boat material, software, standard operating procedure (SOP) creation, etc. I will be finished by January 2024 I think. Then I can concentrate on this topic[1].

I want to leverage software, or develop my own, with the purpose of doing disaster prediction through artificial intelligence. This is less daunting than OpenFOAM and fluid dynamics. I have the mathematical background. I like the topic as it interests me. I have hope to extract publicly available posts from Online Social Networks (OSN) like Facebook, Twitter, etc. I hope to use filters to target posts about climate crisis events. I would like to do a psychological and financial analysis in the hopes to predict future outcomes in certain geographic locations.

What do you think? Am I over my head?

I will probably never get where I want to be intellectually. Depends on how long I live. I can merge this with my work at MIT Alumni for Climate Action (MACA). I believe psychology is a means to elicit responses by citizens to contact their politicians, and I believe financial impact based on longitude and latitude will help hold politicians accountable for NOT helping the poorer populations in society. It will take me some time if I can manage it. I have the intelligence, I am just ill, and I currently have other responsibilities.

I believe is a fantastic idea!

But, why would someone use your software-implementation instead of [3]? Why would you like to create a software solution if you get bored by code?

I am also a 'patient' with unusual symptoms, based on my experience I think that the world would get more from a mathematical mind focused on secondary effects and real effectiveness of commercial drugs.
