To understand the point of the "title" comment, many would say that GHG "reduction" may be all we get in the near term for some parts of industry. But breakthrough R&D at MIT already "proves" the flip side with radical innovations already like Electrochemical Concrete and dirt cheap Salt Based Electric Batteries -- both MIT advances the can rapidly lead to 100% industrial electrification and thus the path to 100% decarbonization. Without starting with the "vision" of true leadership for "full decarbonization", the breakthrough 100% decarbonization innovations will not receive the highest priority that they deserve. MIT and all research institutions need to set that goal at the top for complete Climate Action success, and stop giving lip service to those who want to drag the anchor and fail to innovate for the Goal 100% Industrial Decarbonization Solution that we need. If you have not looked at the latest ocean and air temp data, then you should ... it is scary which should be a siren call for #RealClimateAction ... especially by MIT!
