Reposted from Wei Zheng, MicroMasters Learner:

Earlier of this week, I read Professor Jim Rice’s article on HBR about prepare your supply chain under the epidemic. He suggests running a outage scenario to figure out unseen risks. Adding our friend Gustavo Escudero suggested to take the power of what-if scenario analysis(WISA) for current situation, we, the Supply Chain MicroMasters® program alumni Gao Song, Steven Gong, Bill D'Zio, C.P.M., Kwong Boey, 张帅 and 4 others host the second coronavirus response online workshop tonight. Last time, we talked about the application of scenario planning tool and reasonable moves(see the tree graph). For this session, we spent 2 hours exploring some what-if scenario variables, sharing the latest global supply chain updates and real cases. This is a very valuable workshop, I am so glad I can be the host. And again, love #supplychain and #MIT as always. https://www.linkedin.com/posts/wei-zheng-2699aa86_supplychain-mit-activity-6640992419531853824-bPzV
